Winter Classic!!

Man am I excited by the current news of the Capitals and Penguins playing in the winter Classic this year! I myself will be joining my team and ROCKING THE RED IN PITTSBURG!!!!!! I think that they could not have picked two better teams. The passion that these two teams have together is incredible, not to mention the rivalry of the two star players on each team, Alex Ovechkin and Sidney Crosby. Although their rivalry may seem unwarranted to some it is all a battle for the title" best player in the NHL." Me, i am quite biased when it comes to this subject because the way i see it Sidney Crosby may think that he is the best but in every way Ovechkin surpasses the young Crosby. Just because Ovie is aggressive doesn't mean that people should gang up on him. O how I could go on and on about this subject, so i will just leave it at that!!

long time no blog

Ok, so I took a little break after the playoffs just like the teams do. I am now back and more excited than before to continue to write my blog. I have been thinking about what i want to do with my life and what kind of career and what I enjoy doing and so on and so forth. I have been looking at different majors at different colleges. Then something occurred to me, I like where I am. Washington D.C. is the best sports oriented area ever and there are so many schools right around here that offer amazing journalism/communications and media majors. So after I graduate high school I am going to stay right where I am, no rush to leave.

Now on a different note I have been thinking alot about Ted Leonsis and the great amount of wisdom he has. Now that he owns both teams that call the Verizon Center home he has so many more people to give that wisdom to. In an interview not long after the Caps got booted out of the playoffs Leonsis talked about his feelings toward Gilbert Arenas. He said something to the effect of he wants to sit down and play video games with him and get to know him. He said he believes in building a team up. Obviously the man knows what he is talking about, I mean just look at the amazing team he has made out of the Caps!!

Well that is all for today, time to go back to sschoolwork..
